“Those who make such observations about the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) are strongly criticized, cursed by millions of residents of Armenia. What will he do now?” Tigran Urikhanyan, the press secretary of the PAP, said during a conversation with www.aravot.am, talking about the Brussels statements of the PAP, which had been called “disgraceful” by Eduard Sharmazanov, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) spokesman and a Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, during a conversation with Radio Liberty.
An official statement on those issues and statements released by the PAP reads: “During informal meetings, Gagik Tsarukyan expressed an idea that it was impossible to struggle against corruption in the country, if that struggle is directed by the main corrupted persons.”
