After the unexpected collapse and dissolution of the PAP party, a situation has been created in Armenia’s political field, where the opposition has almost nothing to do. At this point, in fact, it has nothing to do.
PAP party in is the phase of reorganization, and it is difficult to predict what continuation and process it will have. The ANC has completed its restructuring phase but, in fact, it is also in the phase of restructuring and reorganization, for in the last few years, the ANC did not exist separate from the PAP, at its own will. To be separate from the PAP, the ANC should not only be restructured and reorganized, but also should completely review its political views, to be more precise, the ANC should not only review, but to regain its political views lost in the past three and four years.
The “Heritage” party is in its constantly uncertain and abstract situation. Except for, of course, Zaruhi Postanjyan. Nikole is an opposition as usual, and as always, alone, even though the partnership with de jure Sasun Mikayelyan is fixed by the civil Agreement. Actually, Bagratyan is also alone. Hayrikyan left alone is always chopping and changing. Alik Arzumanyan, although de jure contacting a lot with “Heritage”, “Free Democrats” and the newly PANM, he also is functions and “creates” alone. After Tsarukyan’s complete surrender, Karapetich and others, re-emerged for a few seconds, turned into a non-existence again. There are still people around Aram Zavenich, but he is also essentially alone.
Who is left? We should strain our memories to recall. We have not forgotten Geghamyan, Babukhanyan, Arshak Sadoyan, democrat Aram Sargsyan and many others, but they are not an opposition for immemorial times. Even Heghine Bisharyan is more opposition than they are. And even Arthur Baghdasaryan. And even Robert Kocharyan during the hours free from hunting.

The young civilians are not seen anywhere. They seem to forget about themselves. We have not forgotten Sefilyan and the Pre-parliamentarians. The government authorities do not allow forgetting about them and personally, the Shushi special regiment commander. Sefilyan’s this position and title is especially remembered by his supporters, as well as people filled with opposition breezes. In other words, the Yerkrapah syndrome has an equal residue in all of us, and General Manvel and the Republicans are not the only one among us that tend to mix the hostilities with the political and confuse them with each other. Many are surprised that the Shushi special regiment commander is imprisoned, whereas very few people were expressing themselves and worried about intellectual Garegin Chukaszyan being in custody. Many were not even aware that a person with a name Garegin Chukaszyan is arrested, while Chukaszyan, Sefilyan and their partisans, in fact, are the most radical ones of today’s opponents. Willy-nilly, this is a fact. Whether we like them or not, they are an opposition. We can disagree with their opinions and actions, but to agree that there should be no opposition at all, we have no right. Moreover, we do not have the right to imprison the existing ones and still non-existing ones. Moreover, the government authorities do not have the right because mainly the government representatives come up with thunderous speeches and promises at the European democratic institutions. But, on the other hand, the main responsible for the weakening of the opposition, and we can already say now, for the non-existence, is the opposition itself. No one compelled the ANC to associate its present and the future with the PAP.
The ANC associated not only its, but almost all of the opposition party’s destiny with PAP and, in fact, its and almost the entire opposition was doomed to PAP’s destiny. The only opposition force left out from this funny game, in fact, was the Pre-parliament renamed a Founding Parliament, whose headquarters were recently taken into custody. The opposition members being in custody could not be a salvation for the power because life has shown that our opposition members being in custody function more actively and better then when released. Unfortunately.
