Director of “Modus Vivendi” Center Ara Papian, in an interview with the journalist of Aravot.am, referring to the terrorist attack that took place in France, said that it is evident that today the conflicts, particularly in the Middle East, move to the heart of Europe, and this is one of its silent manifestations. “As the Middle East feels the Europeans and the West to be responsible for what happens to them, they will move the fight to Europe and, unfortunately, Europe is expecting very bad days in this respect as it is almost impossible to fight against terrorism, especially that they are suicide terrorists,” said Mr. Papian.
According to his forecast, terrorism will be continued. “This tendency is evident, also the fact that the process is carried out on a high professional level because one single case is another thing, but numerous simultaneously coordinated attacks are different things.” Ara Papian said that there are enough professionals among the Islamists: former Saddam Hussein or Gaddafi army survivors that have gained experience over these years. He also did not rule out the fact of the involvement of special services of different countries to direct the so-called targeted anger in different directions.
“The countries where there is a large number of the Muslim population, where it is easier to recruit Islamist terrorists from the locals, the terrorism will continue. In France, for example, there are 8-11 million Muslims by various statistics, a significant portion of which are citizens of France. And those who are talking about their deportation is impossible. Now, even if one percent of those 10 million people be extremist, then gathering 5 thousand extremists is not difficult, and the southern part of France is already Islam. In my opinion, the situation in Germany will be tougher as the Germans are tougher people, they will gradually pass to rigidity, and then no matter we do not accept the Turks, the Turks who live in Germany, as a species, today they are more prone to terrorism than the Arabs, who are much more in France,” said Mr. Papian. He said that the terrorists will attack the heart of Europe: France, Germany and the Great Britain.
