When we do not like something, we do not hesitate to talk about it in piercing, toughest and the most insulting words. Especially today, in the era of Internet, there is no need to take a breath even for a few seconds, to look at the eyes of the opposite person, the keyboard is at hand. But when we like something, starting from the rainbow appeared after the rain and ending with some social phenomenon, we do not rush to publicly express our satisfaction. The reason is that we are under the strong pressure of the society, we fear that any positive word will be understood wrongly in the society where it is a custom to criticize each other and envy.
Despite this public pressure, I want to say kind words about the three officials. David Pakhchanyan was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense – Chairman of the State Committee on Military Industry of the Ministry of Defense. Personally, I am not familiar with the newly appointed official but his biography is impressive: spheres of science and education, high-grade manager’s job. Certainly, the opportunities of spoiling a person of our state system are unlimited but an inner voice tells me that he will never manifest himself like Alik Mirzabekyan.
Russian-based conductor Constantine Orbelian was appointed Artistic Director of the Opera Theatre. Again, I do not personally know this musician, I have listened to the recordings available to me, I have read about the “success story” of the Russian State Chamber Orchestra and other episodes of the activities of this conductor and in this case, I think that this person will be of benefit to Armenia’s culture.
About one more official who was dismissed from work in the framework of “deduction of staff” – Garnik Petrosyan. I do not know what Deputy Minister of Agriculture he was but probably, no one will argue that Mr. Petrosyan is one of the best professionals in this sphere, from which we, the journalists, have often receive inexhaustible and accurate information. I hope that the state, however, will get the benefit of his rich experience. Indeed, there are phenomena in our lives that deserve negative estimates. The entire problem is how, with what words and what wordings these estimates are voiced.
If the goal is not insulting but helping the case, then we can find someone who would describe the phenomenon accurately, but not the words piercing anyone’s personal dignity. Therefore, prior to expressing any negative opinion, take your time for at least 10 seconds, in that case, the words would be more mature and more solid.
