Vitaly Balasanyan: ‘It is a shame to call ‘Sasna Tsrer’ heroes, do not do that’

July 27,2017 14:33

A year after the occupation of the police station, the hero of Artsakh, the Secretary of the Security Council Vitaly Balasanyan finds that the occupation of the police station was a “very dangerous deed”. “I have told the guys the first day – what have you done? They have told – we should create a government of trust, a temporary authority and etc… I have told – well, if 60 people take weapons in Gyumri tomorrow and express their distrust towards your authority and conduct an armed uprising, which you say, should you resign..? Then 124, and then 248 people take weapons and come… These people did not understand where they go to, what they engage in. The society should know to boycott suchlike things. It is a shame to call them heroes, do not do that. What “Sasna Tsrer” group members did, was very dangerous”, noticed Mr. Balasanyan.

We asked Mr. Balasanyan how he would call the deed of “Sasna Tsrer”. What was that? An armed uprising? A rebellion? A terrorism? “In my opinion, it is a terrorism”, he answered.
