“I understand it, I understand”, replied PM Nikol Pashinyan, asked what opinion he had of the fact that the former presidents have not congratulated him. Pashinyan gave an interview to the journalists after the inauguration ceremony of the Government members. “As you see, the incumbent presidents prefer to congratulate. I think it is a ceremonial issue,” said Pashinyan.

And whether there was an offence in place, the PM answered: “I do not think there should be offended people in Armenia today.”

Journalists referenced the director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia, who had convinced that huge amounts of money were going to be returned back to the state budget in the result of corruption disclosures, meanwhile emphasizing that he had not spoken about the criminal responsibility. Afterwards they asked if suchlike is not planned. Pashinyan responded: “One does not contradict to the other. Our political position is that we are not going to place guillotines in Yerevan. Our issue – if there is a damage made to the state, that damage is to be healed. Criminal Code has a set of procedures which give opportunities of the most various solutions. It will become evident due to the preliminary investigation.”

To the question if there are opportunities in place to re-open and disclose the case of Mihran Poghosyan’s offshore, known to the public as Panama documents, Pashinyan answered: “I think there are a lot of opportunities in place, and those opportunities will be taken during the time and according to the relevance.”
