June 21,2018 15:46

The Adviser to the President of Artsakh, Tigran Abrahamyan had mentioned that the adversary was noticeably active on the frontline – military equipment mobilization, accumulations, active engineering works, attempts to influence Armenian and Artsakh people, propagation including all possible targets.

In the interview with Aravot.am, Davit Babayan, the Spokesman of the President of Artsakh confirmed that the adversary was mobilizing its forces. “This is not a speculation to distract from inner issues, as stated by some people. First and foremost, complete peace and an ideal inner political stability reigns in Artsakh. We do not have an objective of playing on the situation on the border and inner issues,” he said.

Mr Babayan further called on to read the announcements made by the Azerbaijani authorities, stating they were the evidence of the situation on the frontline.

“Accumulations are in place and it is the first time since April such situation evolves,” said Mr. Babayan.

Referring to the future developments, the Spokesman of the President of Artsakh said: “The future developments depend upon our capabilities to stop any encroachment on the first place. Currently, the Defense Army does its best to keep the strategic initiative in its hands firmly.”

One of the restraints to the adversary is our army, the unity of Armenians and the position of the international community, which does not accept such approach, he said, not excluding that Azerbaijan might go for adventures. The Spokesman considers the powerful army as a factor not allowing the aforementioned to take place.

Asked if the recurrence of April War was not excluded, Davit Babayan replied: “No, it is not excluded, but its likelihood depends on the aforementioned factors, as I already said.”
