One of my friends jokingly assumed that besides its responsibilities the National Security Service also organizes intensive language courses. The basis for such assumptions was that General Manvel and Shmays began to speak with such a vocabulary after imprisonment that was not absolutely specific to them before. In particular, Arakel Movsisyan is no longer threatening to rape anyone, to rip anyone’s head off, but speaks “according to the law”. In fact, the problem is, of course, not a language course, but rather that they have to be more restrained and modest, because no one gives them “privileges” anymore.
Such people can no longer be haughty, because they are in the media spotlight, and they no longer have the protective layer under which they will have the opportunity to say, “we have done so much for the nation that we have the right to say and do whatever we want”. However, to say that this mentality has disappeared would be an exaggeration, because if you are not a member of a rejected team, you may still not care about the laws. For instance, the attackers on the Police regiment, who are released by the “humanitarian” deputies’ guarantees, continue to be proud of their “heroism” committed in July 2016.
If you are not a public figure, then you do not have the heavy burden of not being haughty. A narcissistic head of an office, a self-establishing commander of a military unit, a father “setting rules” in the family can be “Shmays” (former “Shmays”) in small scale and also be proud of that.
Let me not even mention about Facebook, where we have a lot of “Shmayses”, and only a few avoid of making calls for “beating”, “shooting”, or “burning” someone. Do you protest when you hear that Manvel was torturing people (to which I believe)? Then why do you call for torturing Manvel? If a person committed a crime, he should be isolated from the society, only that, and to be kept in prison in conditions proper to human dignity. As they say, according to the law.
