The Republic of Artsakh’s Fatherland alliance deputy Artur Tovmasyan was the head of the Artsakh observation delegation to the Armenian parliamentary elections on December 9th. He believes that the elections were carried out normally in Armenia, which is why the majority of society trusted Nikol Pashinyan and his team.
Regarding Aravot’s observation that rumors about Nikol Pashinyan’s desire to return Artsakh, Tovmasyan replied, “I know what Nikol Pashinyan’s position is on the resolution of the Artsakh conflict, and I don’t think that rumors about how now that the elections are over, Nikol will give up land, or that he will resolve the conflict in an anti-Armenian way, are true at all.”
Artur Tovmasyan was then asked why David Shahnazaryan spoke about that in such a public manner. Tovmasyan told reporters that they would have to ask Shahnazaryan. “No one in Artsakh worries about that. Nikol Pashinyan met with the military elite of Artsakh and told them about his views. I think that the authorities of Artsakh are satisfied,” Artur Tovmasyan said.
