Co-founder of the Driver’s Friend NGO Davit Pedanyan spoke to reporters about a new bill drafted by the Ministry of Justice dealing with safety on the roads. Davit Pedanyan said that this bill is worthy of attention not only due to the fact that it requires children to be placed in carseats, but also because it establishes several other rules that had not been made into laws in the past.
“Pedestrian and Bicycle Path”: Separate section of the road, or a separate road entirely designed for pedestrians or bikers to travel.
“Bicycle Path”: Section of the road marked with a horizontal line specially for bikers and for people riding mopeds.
“Hybrid Automobiles”: Vehicle having no less than two power-saving systems, and a transportation method meant to save energy with two different systems as a means to put the vehicle in motion.
