During his Facebook live video, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that, on April 5th, 263 people were tested for the coronavirus, of which 11 were positive. If this positive trend continues, there is a possibility of the State of Emergency Command easing some of its restrictions.
“I ask that all of you please uphold these restrictions as much as possible today. The stats from today give us home, but it is too soon. We need to be as strict as possible with ourselves for the next week and uphold the restrictions,” Pashinyan said.
According to the Prime Minister, “If what we predict comes true, it means that we will be able to think about easing some of the restrictions starting on Monday. If this dynamic continues, it means that we have contained the spread of the virus and we can start to think about slowly returning to our daily lives.”

Then, Pashinyan said that, unfortunately, another patient died. “The 68-year-old patient had double pneumonia, which was likely caused by the coronavirus. He also had diabetes, hypertension, and vertebrobasilar circulatory disorder. This is an example of another case where chronic illnesses cause drastic effects.”
Pashinyan also said that he will be answering citizens’ questions during a live video at 18:30 local time for approximately 3 hours.
