Today www.aravot.am inquired of Ombudsman Karen Andreasyan what he would advise the public to do in regard to lynching those guilty of the incident at Harsnakar, if there was lack of trust toward the legal system. Mr. Andreasyan noted that there were two ways of solving the problem, “The first is legal, in case of which one should demand of legal ‘architects’ to explain what happened and to build the legal system this time so that if it is not there today, then it will be there in 5 years. However, it should be done taking specific steps not waiting 5 years. However, until there is a legal system, there are various means not forbidden by the constitution to express public attitude – organizing marches or publicly reprimanding a certain business etc., thanks to which the public itself expresses its attitude in various countries. This is the only way, if one doesn’t trust the legal system.”
Mr. Andreasyan, not being able to explicitly express his discontent about what had happened, made an example in regard to this how the American public had refused to buy the product of a company that had used child labor in China.
