The Armenian National Congress (ANC) Activists Object to the Prosecutor’s Speech

A court session on the case of the ANC activists is under way in the trial court of the Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts at the moment. Prosecutor Hakob Martirosyan has been making the speech for the prosecution, to which the ANC activists have been regularly objecting, for an hour already. Tigran Arakelyan who has been arrested since last August 9 asked the judge for a break to consult the counselor in regard to the accusations, but the judge said that he would announce it after the speech. The activists claim that the prosecution is distorting the facts at the moment. In Tigran Arakelyan’s words, the prosecutor says words on their behalf that don’t correspond to the reality, “He quotes us, but there has been no such thing.” The trial continues, details will follow shortly.
