Today www.aravot.am asked Aghvan Vardanyan, the secretary of the ARF parliamentary group and the alternate representative of the ARF Supreme Body, whether the ARF was not going to join the proposal made by the ANC and whether it didn’t share the concerns of the ANC that it was a luxury to give Toyota Camries to National Assembly parliamentary groups and committees in a country with such a small budget as ours.
Aghvan Vardanyan responded, “Generally such projects, such expenditures are made at the level of the whole state. If there is a problem, it must be a problem with the whole state system and not only with the National Assembly. Therefore, I think that such partial proposals sound populist to a certain extent. The problem must be solved systemically, at the level of the whole state and not in individual cases.”
Let us remind that a few days ago, Levon Zurabyan, the leader of the ANC parliamentary group, applied to Hovik Abrahamyan, the Speaker of the National Assembly, proposing to give cheaper cars to parliamentary groups and committees and to make savings given such a small budget.
