The former Goris mayor (1992 – 1994 years), co-chairman of Regional Defense Committee, Samvel Harutyunyan, has sent a letter to the Head of SIS, Vahram Shahinyan. “Dear Mr. Shahinyan, I would like to present you the publications saying about numerous crimes committed by the former Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan and his gang as of October 23, November 18, December 9, and December 20, 2013. I am emphasizing that these crimes were mostly perpetrated by high-rank state official Surik Khachatryan and other officials. I claim putting an end to indifference to Surik Khachatryan’s and his gang’s unusual criminal process, and eventually file a criminal case based on enclosed published facts. Arrest Surik Khachatryan, his accomplices, and bring them to deserved criminal liability,” reads the letter.
Mr. Harutyunyan said to Aravot.am that he had sent a letter to the Head of the SIS after seeing numerous responses to his publications. “On June 1, after the crime committed in front of the former Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan’s house, I have had more than 60 articles, interviews, statements about the crimes perpetrated by Liska and his gang, which are blatant evidences, but so far no criminal case was filed based on my publications. I have personally called the General Prosecution office, SIS, talked with representatives of the Public Relations Department, they have told me to apply in writing.”
