The Armenian Architecture Foundation is preparing the publication of the book “Armenian protocols of Lebanon.” Aravot.am learned about this from the Director of the Foundation, expert in monuments and historian Samvel Karapetyan.

“The author is a 20-year-old girl from Beirut who with the help of her father has visited all the cemeteries of the Armenian colonies in Lebanon, as well as other constructions, and wherever she saw Armenian protocol, she was photographing,” said Samvel Karapetyan. “On the grave stones of the deceased of the first generation, as a rule, it was noted the birthplace of the deceased. They were indirectly the geographical names in our original homeland, which is a key contribution to the Armenian Genocide issue. A question arises, what were the Armenians living in Mets Hayk doing in Lebanon? Why have they died and buried there? It was a result of deportation,” noted Karapetyan. Adding that earlier the book “Armenian protocols of Aleppo” was published.
