American artist Armine Aghayants: ‘I am taking my step’

American painter and designer Armine Aghayants decided to donate the profits she received from people who purchased her artwork to the “My Step” foundation. The charity exhibition and sale of her artwork was displayed on October 15th at the Royal Classic House. First Lady of Armenia Anna Hakobyan and Minister of Culture Lilit Makunts were present at the event.

Armine Aghayants’ professor Armen Bubushyan said that Armine lives in the USA due to personal circumstances, but she confessed to him that she will return to Armenia to live. Both Lilit Makunts and Anna Hakobyan have welcomed Aghayants’ initiative of donating proceeds to the foundation.

Aghayants told Aravot.am that she is taking her small step in honor of the Republic of Armenia through this exhibition.

She has received several awards for her artwork, including two gold medals in Venice.
