The president of the Democratic Party, Aram Sargsyan, assured that April 24th will be a divisive day for Armenians this year.
“Those who became Turk-lovers, and I am speaking directly in reference to Nikol, who says that we should not be enemies. The enemy is saying that they should be our enemies and they should take Syunik. Is that our enemy or not? When they say that Yerevan is “Erivan” and their “historical” homeland, are they our enemies or not? When they cut our soldiers’ heads off, are they our enemies or not? When they axe a sleeping officer to death, are they our enemies or not? Everyone forgot about people like Safarov, whom Azerbaijan made into heroes.
We will not lead according to Nikol’s ideas. And let him forget about implementing those ideas because the Armenian people will feel once again in the end that they need to bring back the ideology of their existence, and once again become the nation that has always been able to uphold its dignity. If he can’t understand that, then he and those like him need to face the people’s judgment.
What do we need to do? First, we need to understand that as a people, we need to once again create a nationality surrounding a national ideology. This is not nationalism; this is a national ideology.

According to him, half the people in My Step already understand that their leader will no longer lead them. Even if they want Turks to enter Armenia, they will no longer be able to for the simple fact that they handed over the defense of the borders to Russia. “And Russia will no longer allow anyone to invade this territory because this is already an issue dealing with strategy. Their relations with NATO, the United States, and Turkey are getting worse. Therefore, no matter how much the current authorities praise them, they are nothing and they do not understand that. In the future, the only thing they will think about is going along with their leader so he can protect them a little longer,” he said.
