It is obvious that the 2026 military parade is purely an election campaign exercise aimed exclusively at promoting the Civil Contract party. As the leader who brought war and defeat upon us, and who humiliated and disgraced our state, Nikol Pashinyan naturally has no moral right to preside over a military parade. Like virtually everything carried out by Pashinyan, this event too is accompanied by official bluff and unrestrained self-promotion.
In this particular case, however, I am not inclined to dwell in detail on yet another batch of Nikolist falsehoods — first and foremost because the issue concerns my country’s security, and any hint at our weakness or incapacity may become an additional argument in the hands of our enemies the next time they choose to attack us. And I have no doubt whatsoever that such an attack will happen sooner or later. It is the current authorities who are deceiving people by claiming that “peace has been established”; we know perfectly well what plans Turkey and Azerbaijan have for us.
Under Pashinyan, we would not be prepared for another attack, whereas under a different leadership there would at least be a chance of mounting proper resistance. Imagine, for example, that Azerbaijan attacks Armenia while Tigranashen is under its control — something Pashinyan is clearly preparing to concede — and compare that to the same attack taking place while Tigranashen remains under Armenian control. From the standpoint of defense and resistance, these are entirely different situations.
Precisely because no real peace has been established, I do not wish to discuss Pashinyan’s bluffs regarding our defense capabilities. On the contrary, I believe we should value what we do possess in terms of armaments and hope that those capabilities are multiplied.

This is not Pashinyan’s army; this is the army of the Republic of Armenia. Any sarcastic or disrespectful remarks about our army are unacceptable to me — even when their purpose is to expose yet another Civil Contract lie, or even if the army is now led by the same people who said, “Why didn’t you get killed?”
Together with all citizens, regardless of political views, I take pride in my army.
