Round 5 of Andranik Margaryan Memorial chess tournament took place yesterday. In round robin tournament, Hovik Hayrapetyan celebrated the third victory in a row. Due to this victory he now solely leads the table.
As chessfed.am reports Arman Mikaelyan and Stanislav Bogdanovich also defeated their opponents in Round 5. Matches Aram Hakobyan – David Paravyan and Aghasaryan Robert – Vojtech Plat ended in a draw.
After 5 rounds Hovik Hayrapetyan has scored 3.5 points and is solely leading the table. He is trailed closely by three players Arman Mikaelyan, Robert Aghasaryan and Stanislav Bogdanovich who have 3 points apiece.
Games of Round Five of the Swiss tournaments held within Andranik Margaryan Memorial also took place yesterday. In the under 18 boys’ tournament Artur Davtyan has scored 5 points out of the utmost 5 and continues to hold the sole lead of the table and six chess players are 1 point behind the leader.
In the under 14 boys’ tournament four chess players have scored 4.5 points and are leading the table. In boys’ tournament under 12 Sevak Manukyan has scored 5 points and is the sole leader of the table. 5 chess players trail the leader closely
