The situation will not change with propaganda

May 28,2021 13:22

In recent days, Azerbaijan’s brazen attacks on the territory of Armenia and the Armenian soldiers serving in that territory continued, even to the point of murder. The reaction of the government and, first of all, the acting Prime Minister to these events is twofold: on the one hand, Russia and the CSTO are to blame, on the other hand, there are “circles known to us” that serve the interests of Azerbaijan. Indeed, you have to have a face made of unknown synthetic material to make such excuses.

Yes, the documents prepared in 1997 with Russia, as well as the CSTO documents, are not working. But they help the person, the organization, and the state, which is something that is able to carry out its own self-defense even at a basic level. If the enemy manages to infiltrate your territory and kidnap your soldiers, blaming someone here is just cynicism. People fulfill contractual obligations to the STATE; if there is no state, then it will be difficult to expect any treatment from your partners.

And when it is said that the opponents of the government are “provoking” Azerbaijan to carry out provocations inside our borders, its addressees are probably the masses living in dark caves whose knowledge and perceptions are formed under the influence of some incomprehensible drug. It is not ruled out that this mass is the majority in Armenia. In that case, we are close to the time when Azeri servicemen will come to Yerevan without firing shots. They will just come and kidnap, say, members of the government.

Yes, the opposition is taking advantage of the humiliating situation that has developed at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border in order to campaign against the government. The government, without paying much attention to logic, explains its incompetence by its very “favorite” conspiracies about the former regime. It is inevitable in this pre-election situation. But no matter who says what, the situation does not change. As a citizen, to put it mildly, I do not like the fact that the government and the Prime Minister do not want to bear any responsibility for this situation.

Of course, it is possible to fill more than two dozen parties in the pre-election arena, it is possible to create information noise from secondary topics, and it is even possible to reproduce it. All the same, it will not be possible to enjoy power in a collapsed state.
